I love taking pictures. I am what you would call a person with a camera in her hand, or you could say a camera grows out of my hand. I do not own a heavy sophisticated camera. Just give me an inexpensive digital camera and that is all I need.
I am a journalist and take pictures on all my assignments. When out on special occasions with family and friends, I am the person that is asked to take the pictures.
I do like to have between a six and ten telephoto lens. Now there are bigger sizes out there but I like to carry it in my purse and not be bulky or heavy.
There is a picture waiting to be taken everywhere the eye can see. The sky, the clouds have always fascinated me and they are every color you can run together like a fine art, water color painting.
Pictures of people of children and babies are so special. When you are creating your family history pictures are so important to keep the memory alive of your loves ones who have gone before you.
With a digital camera it is so easy to do. Remember the old fashioned cameras where you had to buy film and then take them to a photo place to make prints of your pictures. I am not selling digital cameras but I do want you to know that with digital cameras the whole world of photography changed.
In the days of the camera with film, I couldn’t, wouldn’t, or shouldn’t take a picture. I would cut somebody’s head or feet off. I was a lousy photographer and never used a camera. I let somebody else take my pictures for me. I like to do everything myself including my own pictures and of course they were never like I wanted.
Now I can take all I want of whatever I want.
In this book of pictures I have taken them to look at or if you are an artist of any media use them for inspiration in your drawings or paintings.
The photographs are of the sky, trees, mountains, flowers, and ocean not in any particular order.
As with any type of art, the light source is always most important for creating the best photographs you can get. Try different times of the day. See which works best for you.
