Bear Thriller

Non-stop adventure. Christy and Brad are lost in the burning woods. Helicopter crash. A Bear which they later named Brute is chasing them. Do they get out of the burning woods? What happens to Brute? “Well?” said General Mumps sitting back down in his chair and leaning far back.
“Sir, we found the jeep but the children were nowhere to be found. We did find in the jeep empty water bottles, popcorn, banana peels, and it looked like they had eaten peanut butter and jelly sandwiches? We’ve looked everywhere on the base and searched by chopper for miles around. We even went into the woods and searched on foot. It’s like they’ve vanished, Sir,” reported Sergeant Wiggler.
Cold terror pierced General Mumps heart like a vice. He nervously paced. He opened his door and paced up and down the street. He wanted to see Christy and Brad driving towards him in that beat-up old jeep he had let them use that morning. He walked back into his office and sat back down at his desk. He had told his grandchildren at breakfast that morning to stay on the demolition field and not to leave the base.
Christy even took her dog Fluffy with her. She was a small beige and white dog of undetermined breed. It followed Christy home from school one day and became a member of the Ramsey family. General Max Mumps knew deep down in his heart that they were in trouble.
